GOT7’s Jinyoung is officially back! After completing his military service as an active-duty soldier on November 7, Jinyoung was welcomed by fans and surprised by fellow GOT7 members Yugyeom and BamBam, who joined to celebrate his discharge.
In a heartfelt interview, Jinyoung expressed his gratitude, saying, “I spent the last year and a half with good friends and feel like I’ve become stronger. I promised fans to return as a better person, and I’m grateful to be in good health, so I really want to thank my fans.”
Jinyoung also hinted at exciting projects on the horizon. He revealed he will soon start filming for the upcoming drama Unknown Seoul with Park Bo Young. “I hope to greet viewers with another project next year,” he teased, raising anticipation for his return to the screen.
The singer and actor dropped further hints about GOT7’s potential comeback, sharing, “We’re working hard to prepare GOT7’s next album. Since some members will also begin their military service, we want to release an album soon as a way to thank our fans.” He added, “During my last leave, we started discussing and planning, so fans can expect a GOT7 album soon. Please look forward to it!”
As a warm welcome back, Jinyoung will connect with fans during a live broadcast at 7 p.m. KST today. Following his military service, he will also appear in Channel A’s upcoming drama The Witch, filmed before his enlistment.
